REAGENT PREPARATION AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
All reagents are ready to use as supplied. Store unused test devices unopened at 2°C-30°C. The positive and negative controls should be kept at 2°C-8°C. If stored at 2°C-8°C, ensure that the test device is brought to room temperature before opening. The test device is stable through the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch. Do not freeze the kit or expose the kit over 30°C.
SPECIMEN COLLECTION AND HANDLING
Whole Blood
Clean the area to be lanced with Alcohol prep pad.Squeeze the end of the fingertip and pierce it with thesterile lancet. Wipe away the first drop of bloodwith sterile gauze or cotton, Using Disposablepipette, collect blood from the puncture site.The whole blood may be used for testingimmediately or may be stored at 2 - 8℃ up to three days.
Serum or plasma
Centrifuge whole blood to get plasma or serumspecimen.
lf serum is not tested immediately, it should berefrigerated at 2-8℃. For storage periodsgreater than three days, freezing is recommendedThey should be brought to room temperatureprior to use.
Serum containing precipitate may yieldinconsistent test results. Such specimens mustbe clarified prior to assaying.
ASSAY PROCEDURE
(2) Use the pipette to draw and slowly add 1 dropof whole blood/serum/plasma to the sample well.
(3) Hold the buffer bottle vertically and add 1 dropof buffer to the sample well./ lf using pipette,change a new one to avoid cross-contamination.Draw and transfer 2 drops of buffer to thesample well.
A pink to red line (T), even if it is very thin, indicates a positive result.
NEGATIVE: The control line appears in the testwindow, but the test line is not visible.
INVALID: The test is invalid if the control line is notvisible at five minutes. The test failed, orthe test procedure was not followedproperly. Verify the test procedure andrepeat the test with a new testing device.
